5 Reasons Why I won’t buy an iPhone !

I have been an Nokia,  Sony Ericsson, HTC and now an Blackberry User ( Confession #2 : I don’t even like Nokia phones … and maybe I will write about it soon too ! ).  Am personally a gadget freak and believe in value that you get from product ( read : user friendly & features) than merely buy it as a aspiration product.


So here are my quick 5 yorkers : 


1. If I don’t have a iPhone, I don’t have a old iPhone.  
By the time you flaunt your phone to all your friends, relatives, aunties, uncles, ex, neighbors, colleagues, boss, clients …… There’s a new iPhone launched. I mean…. hello !!... I strongly believe it’s a aspiration gadget . But mark my words… you better have LATEST phone. In 2007 iPhone 2 launched in India. 2011 there’s iPhone 5.  Infact iPhone 4 was launch in May 2011. That’s cruel for people who may have bought in recent months. So am better-off confused with different models other brand get in market than look awkwardly to my "out-of-fashion" phone.



2. Touchophobia
I developed hatred to all ONLY touch-screen phones using my HTC for almost 1 year. Believe me, exactly when you want urgent info (like your ass is on fire)  or navigate to specific menu, all your phone menus want to do is samba with your finger. Your fingers tapping on screen and you won’t reach from point A to point B without pulling your hair. You touch it and it plays with your feelings  ! iPhone is just victim of my disinterest of owning a touch screen phone.(with really keyboard I may still think twice)


3. Whats in App ?
Honestly I dislike iPhone because it has those AWESOME Apps ! It ripped off my happiness looking at iPhone users enjoying Angry Birds.  Speaking off my apps knowledge, I had all best apps on each of my phones since like early S60 or Java platforms. I may stand in that “1 out of 1000 people in most apps in phone” category with my Blackberry now. I know the biggest USP of iPhone is iStore and its ocean of apps online. Again am better off with 3-4 regular apps I use actually. I don’t need iPhone for that !


4. Nothing in Life is free ! 
So why would so many brands, corporates invest millions on app and distribute it free to millions of users? Got you ….!! I got you thinking actually. Honestly that’s a question even for Blackberry, Nokia or every free apps provider. Infact it applies to Android too. Now these thoughts are just my reservation on privacy issue that world go blah ! blah! . I will keep my eyes on development of news to take a wise decision though.

5. Loser !! 
I recently lost 160GB data on external drive !!  Well I didn’t lose drive … but crashed it !! So am vulnerable to accidents. Not convinced ?. … Okay..hear this then.  I lost all my previous phones …Nokia, Sony, HTC !! That’s Confession #3. Seriously. So its really a bad idea to lose a phone so expensive with losing 32GB data ! That would be loser with bonus !! Now iPhone 5 is 64 GB (why would I buy iPhone 4 .. right ?). So buying a iPhone is clear no-no in my list ! I mean it !!


So before I end my blog let me give you other perspective. I am going good with blackberry since almost two years now. ITS BEEN GIFTED TO ME… YAAYY !  And I haven’t lost it either. So may be am lucky with gifted phone.


My blog says “I won’t buy iPhone”, but I can manage with it if gifted to me ! So don’t think twice when you plan to gift me one ! Cheers !
