Instant Parle-G Biscuit Cake !

Yeah.... a recipe blog ! Actually I always want to start a recipe blog site. They will never be short of web traffic. Well how bad would be for a influencing speaker if there's no audience ! And you cannot beat foodoholic audience with any other audience category.

Okay I don't have much push to really start a recipe blog site... cause am only an audience than a good chef ! But as I mentioned in my profile,  I love always cooking. I call it Sunday Cooking. Something that is fast to cook, yum and I can sit on my couch enjoying it in front of TV. So cooking for me is from maggie noodle to chicken fry. It can also be one of dish at meals but I prefer that to be non-veg. I don't like experiments but like to cook some known awesome dish just to bring some change in our plates. I find fun cooking and its great meditating your mind on weekend in the happiness you get when someone says on its first taste "That's really good. Nice"

So here I present to you "Instant Parle-G Biscuit Cake". Am sure some of them know it already. And those who do not know will be zapped to know its ingredients.

Its better known as "Parle-G - ENO Biscuit". Yes you heard it right - ENO which is eating soda brand to curb acidity. My Sister introduced this to us first time around Jan-Feb time. Once I tasted, I should have told to 100 people about it. And very few of them "experimented" it. We still make it often. And assure you its safe :)

Ingredients :

  1. Parle-G (150Gm - Rs. 10 Pack) - Someone even tried with Hide-n-Seek Biscuits
  2. ENO Eating Soda 1 Sachet - Ensure its a regular flavor as ENO is available now in many flavors.
  3. Cocoa Powder - 2 Table spoon -  (Depends on how much cholcolate you love ! )
  4. Sugar – 1 1/2 cup (I have sweet tooth. But 1 cup can be good too as Biscuit has sugar in it)
  5. Milk – 2 cups
  6. Butter for greasing - This time I use home made ghee as didn't has butter at home.

Ingredients

Preparation ( Time : 5 Min )

Grind Biscuit, Sugar, Cocoa Powder in a mixer for about 2 minute in a very fine powder.

Now Add milk to it. Remember to add half cup milk first and then slowly keep adding one spoon at a time and beat it. For first timers this trick works to ensure you get a right and fine cake batter. (About 3 minutes).

Now empty complete ENO from Sachet and beat it for another 1 minute. Make sure you add ENO only in last. Thats its your cake is ready to cook. Ensure your container (prefer glass bowl for oven cooking) is greased with butter before your cake material is ready.

Important Note - Its Cooking and Not Baking the cake. Ensure you choose Cook mode for Microwave

Cooking Method (Microwave Oven Cooking) ( Time : 7 - 10 minutes )

Pour the entire batter in glass bowl. Place the bowl in oven and set the oven in cook-heat mode for 10 Minutes.

Although in our oven (Onida-Black Beauty) the cake is ready in 7-8 minutes, ensure you check cake in your oven if its cooked completely. Check by piercing knife in center of cake till bottom and ensure it comes out clean.

Taa-Daa !! Your Instant Cake is ready in 20mins flat.

For those who don't have Oven here is on-gas cooking method. When my sister made it first at our home it was on Gas. And believe me the first time you enjoy the taste of any dish, you don't get that same taste again. It was awesome on Gas cooking actually. But microwave is for us lazy bumps really. Try Gas cooking sometime too.

Cooking Method (Gas Cooking) ( Time : 10-15 minutes)

Pour the entire batter in greased aluminium container. Make sure it is AIR-TIGHT with lid. Place the container on frying pan (tawa) on low flame.

Great. Here is representation of what we made on this Thursday. It was plump, soft and awesome. Although my ghee greasing failed as the thin layer of chocolate got stucked on glass bowl.

But isn't it yuumm !! Let me know your comments once you have tried it !! :)

Hi Shveta, this cake will rise faster and more than a regular cake. So make sure you have bigger container. My preparation was little more than 1/4th of size of container.

Hi Nidhi... did you use the plain ENO ? Usually you get flavored ENO packs eg-lemon, orange. Don't use them. You should be using plain ENO pack. Follow the recipe ingredients proportion.

for proper greesing, Grease a cake tin with butter and dust with 1/2 tbsp plain flour.
